GRAPES

75% Sangiovese, 20% Sagrantino, 5% Cabernet Franc

 

HARVEST TIME

Manual harvest in crates with selection of the bunches in the vineyard in mid-September for Sangiovese, at the beginning of October for Sagrantino and Cabernet Franc

 

VINIFICATION

Vinification at controlled temperature with long macerations that can exceed 20 days

 

REFINEMENT

Blending of the varieties in French oak barrels for 24 months, refining in steel for 6 months and maturing in the bottle for another 6 months

COLOR

Deep ruby red, intense and inscrutable.

AROMAS

Aroma of ripe red and black forest fruits which, integrating with tertiary aromas of cinnamon and chocolate, contribute to the formation of a rich and complex bouquet of a great red wine.

 

TASTE

Full and elegant, full-bodied, viscous and with great structure, balanced by a velvety tannin

 

MATCHING

Red meats and roasts but also cured meats and mature cheeses.

MONTEFALCO ROSSO RISERVA DOC

Red wine, the result of a blend of Sangiovese (75%), Sagrantino (20%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), it stands out for its intense ruby color and a complex bouquet of ripe berries, cinnamon and chocolate. On the palate it is full, elegant and of great structure, with velvety tannins that enhance its balance. Perfect with red meats, roasts, cured meats and mature cheeses, it offers a potential of aging of 15-20 years. Serve at 16-18 °C to fully appreciate its refinement.
